Africa/DRC-RC-Cameroon-Kenya

lionessMichel Wabantu is a young apostle from the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Michel lives in the capitol city of Kinshasa. He has developed a team of young ministers who are planting churches. He received his Bible training in South Africa and in Paris. His wife, Mousky, was a member of Joel Thobois' church in Paris. Joel has had influence and relationship with Michel and Mousky for years.  Another relationship that has been developing is in the Republic of Congo with Blaise Mibata. Brother Mibata is a prophetic man, but also very much an entrepeneur. He has a church in Paris and Brazzaville. He also has businesses to help with putting people to work.

Joel Thobois also has made contact in Cameroon and is partnering with a mission group there for more life skills training.

Kenya is another country where ATM has contacts. Steve Neptune and Ron King have relationships with leaders there as well.

One of the burdens that Michel carries is to  disciple the Christians in the DRC. He sees that there is faith, but little depth of understanding of the word, primarily from the lack of teaching. Joel is very familiar with Destiny School of Ministry in Celina and spoke to Michel of the training and discipleship. Michel and his team wanted to start a similar school. Joel orchestrated things in France and Bill Lewis worked on the stateside to coordinate as well.
In June of 2008, the team, Bill Lewis, Joel Thobois, Bill Roberts, and Jim Bernard traveled to the DRC carrying the materials and equipment necessary to establish the school. There were computers, projectors, books, and files necessary to start the school. Destiny, Kinshasa, has 65 students enrolled in their first year of existence. Michel reports that it is progressing well and the students are excited with their learning.
We are now planning our next trip into the DRC. The Destiny School of Ministry has been successful. The school planted two churches on its mission this year. We are going in October and will be doing a Women's Conference with Cathy Lewis, Linda Hanna and Mary Long. Joel Thobois, Bill Roberts, and Bill Lewis will be planting another school of ministry in Lumbubashi along with Michel Wabantu. We will also have a graduation service for our Destiny School in Kinshasa.

We are now raising funds for the trip. The cost of the trip is $3000 for each person which includes hotel, flights, meals etc. We are also using some of the funds to underwrite materials for the schools.
